Becki Welsh, Ph.D.,LPC, NCC, CPLC | Play Therapist and Parent Coach
Welcome! My name is Becki Welsh, and I am first and foremost a follower of Jesus Christ. My passion is helping children and parents heal, connect, and find rest and peace in their homes and relationships.
I specialize in working with younger children (ages 2-10) and have training in child-centered and experiential play therapy, filial therapy and trauma-focused therapy for children. I know how to help what doesn't feel right with children and their families. And I would love to help your family.
I am the proud mom of two boys - 25 & 27 and two step-sons - also 25 & 27, and a grandmother to a precious little girl named Chloe born January 2017. I live in the Dallas Texas area with my husband, Greg, and love doing things like golf, tennis and basically anything outdoors! I would consider myself a laid-back girl who loves to laugh and have fun as well as have deep intimate conversations. I feel my purpose is to offer compassion, grace, and love to those who need it most.
I first began working with children in 1992. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Colorado and Texas, a National Certified Counselor, as well as a Registered Play Therapy-Supervisor with the Association for Play Therapy. I have a Master's degree from Oklahoma City University and a certificate in Play Therapy from Capella University and a doctoral degree in counseling education and supervision. I have also worked as a Children's Minister for three large churches. I am also a Certified Life Coach through Christian Coach Institute, an ICF accredited school.
